Erica Echko

Erica’s first taste of pickleball came in December 2021, at her mom’s neighborhood courts. Already an accomplished tennis coach and athlete, she instantly recognized how the sport brought together skills she had loved for years. Since then, she’s thrown herself into the pickleball world—competing in high-profile tournaments like the US Open and APP Tour stops in Cincinnati and Columbus.

As a USPTA P1 Tennis Teaching Professional with a DUPR of 5.219, Erica brings elite experience to the pickleball court. She’s also the Head Coach of the University of Dayton women’s team, where she’s spent years shaping athletes. Her teaching style is energetic and outgoing, and she specializes in strategic ball placement and setting up points for success. Erica especially enjoys working with kids, beginning adults, and corporate groups—helping each find both confidence and joy in the game.

Pickleball has been transformative for Erica, filling her life with competition, laughter, and community. Some of her favorite memories include taking down nationally ranked teams and the shared thrill of battling alongside strong partners. Off the court, she’s known for her love of Golden Retrievers, endless playlists she can sing along to, and her competitive spirit.

Erica is a certified instructor with the Ohio Pickleball Academy at The Pickle Lodge, blending professional expertise with contagious energy. Looking for a coach who can push you while keeping it fun? Click here to book a lesson and click here to view our upcoming clinics.
